The only question that remains is why Grand Theft Auto IV didn’t make it to my pole position despite the top marks. In the end, the bigger, more epic game wins. The brutally ingenious staging could unfortunately not make up for the somewhat lengthy last hours. On the other hand, I satisfied my slaughter instinct with Dead Space, which only ran out of breath in the last few levels and thus cost EA the top position on the podium. Kristian’s Game of the Year: Fallout 3 / Dead SpaceĪs for “the butcher likes it bloody again”: I gambled through my absolute highlight, Fallout 3, in the German version, without any flying body parts or body fluids. They’re just both brilliant in their own way. I cannot and do not want to put my “Game of the Year” stamp on just one of them at this point. So much inventiveness, so much attention to detail, simply so much play you just have to love. LittleBigPlanet, on the other hand, took my heart by storm within a few levels thanks to its playfulness. Fallout 3 inspired me with the multitude of possible courses of action, the good / bad / neutral scheme and the VATS system, which allowed me to experience the story entirely as a role-play. and LittleBigPlanet, where I just couldn’t imagine where the motivation for this title was based.įunnily enough, in the end it was exactly these two previously spurned candidates who completely cast a spell on me – each in his own inimitable way. Namely fantasy worlds enriched with elves and Co. Fallout 3, the scenario of which was exactly the opposite of what I usually prefer. ![]() As well as two, against whom I had a certain dislike in advance, almost swore on my hand to punish them with complete ignorance. There were two games this year that I was really looking forward to and that ultimately didn’t bring the longed-for hit. So, let’s go!
